Latest News Nitro Champs 2010 The weekend started off for Craig and Rhiannon on Thursday, out at the track setting up everything so the team was ready to race the next morning. It gave us a chance to catch up with our great friends from Perth, which we hadn't seen for a while, Kev and Budgie. On Friday Juniors were out at 3pm for the first qualify. We set out for the first qualifier to cut a light and get some data on the car. Unfortunately there was an issue with Rhiannon’s harnesses so they got sent back to the pits. After things got sorted we went back out for our first qualifier; second for some of the field. On Saturday morning we had our second qualifier and the air really came around. Rhiannon ran a personal best of 8.997; she was so happy to look at the board having her first 8.997 flashing up there, that was a thumbs up to Craig. The third qualify she went quicker again and ran 8.995. Pretty constant with her 8 seconds now so we were confident for the first round on Saturday against Johno King, a good racer, Rhiannon knew she was in for a challenge. Rhiannon cut a bad light, even though Johno’s light wasn't so sharp either, he still got her on the tree. She thought she might still have a chance but at last minute Johno got past her at the finish line to take the win light. Rhiannon and the team were disappointed and naturally would have liked to go more rounds but their day will come. Craig and Mel were still encouraging Rhiannon, and even though they had smiles on there faces Rhiannon still knew they would of loved to see her up there holding a gold Christmas tree, maybe next time. Bryce, Jesse and Jeremy, kept going rounds, with Jeremy finishing runner up, Jake Donnelly winning the event, congratulations. Saturday and Sunday night were great with the Queensland and the NSW junior kids, they all chilled out, played footy and gave the meeting good atmosphere. Thank you to Dannolas Fluid Connections, MSCN, Brad Penn, Battery World, thank you also to the ANDRA Stewards, the track officials who always do a great job and make the meeting run smoothly, trying to make life easy on everyone. Thank you also to all the junior races.

Driver Bio Craig Allison
In 2007 Craig decided it would be his final year racing motor bikes. He raced and won the dirt bike track championship, over 35’s track champion ship and 450cc open track champion. This was a great way to round out 30 years of racing motor bikes. In addition, Craig raced go-karts from 1991-1996. Craig was NSW & ACT Go-Kart champion for 1992 & 1993. In 1994 he raced in the Australian Go-Kart championship and finished 4th. In 1995 & 1996 he was overall club champion. Craig still had a need for speed, so in 2002 he started racing drag cars. He purchased a Torana which he raced in Super Sedan for 3 years, running a personal best of 10.3 @ 130mph. Craig won a few bracket attack meets, Holden vs. Ford, and was runner up in a number of other events. Craig bought a speed boat, trying to get faster and faster, and became heavily involved in the bridge to bridge boat racing since 2005. Craig decided his real passion was to go even faster down the quarter mile, so he purchased an altered in 2006 and over the next 6 months built the engine.. The 2007 race season started with Craig ready to go racing in modified. Craig’s first day in the car, he completed his licensing and came runner up in the bracket attack meeting that same day. With a very consistent car he came third in 2007/2008 track championship.. In 2008 Western Nationals he ran running 7.95 @ 167mph. Thank you to our valued sponsors for their continuing support Dannolas Fluid Connections Excite Signs Caffe del Doge MSCN
